Banjovial are an Americana Shantygrass band from Padstow, just over the estuary from us. They performed at our Taproom opening party back in 2021, and it was a belter of a night! The recipe for this collab beer is inspired by Sierra Nevada beers, expressive, modern but approachable. The gap between super modern pale ales and more traditional cask pale ales.
Banjovial are effectively one of our house bands at the Taproom - we've had a relationship with them at Bluntrock since their original band, The Stowes. The relationship goes back even further with the Stowes, as Padstow Brewery when George & Simon were there, produced a beer for them called Stoweaway IPA. A little 3.5%-ish cask pale ale.
Well we've taken inspiration from that earlier partnership and designed this Banjovial Beer. Banjovial beer is a much more modern and expressive beer to mirror Bluntrock's more modern brand.
